Photography from around the world has been projected on Auckland's Silo Park, as part of the city's Festival of Photography.
The theme of Identity this year features photojournalism from across the globe, including artists from Nigeria, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Canada and Turkey.
It was curated by Dr Shahidul, a Bangladeshi artist and activist.
"Far too often, we take refuge in comfortable spaces. These are artists who have dared to think differently," he said.
"Being situated in a silo is pertinent to the theme. It is the silos in our mind we need to deal with."
The exhibition opened at Silo 6 on Thursday at the launch of the festival.
The full festival runs until June 24, with exhibitions all across Auckland city.
