Sad face! The Emoji Movie is poop emoji. And for those of us who prefer to communicate in actual English, we're sad to say that apparently the recently released Emoji Movie is rubbish.
That is to say that it has a 0 percent rating on movie reviewing site Rotten Tomatoes right now. That means that not one critic has given it a positive review.
Reviewers on the site range from the moderate, "it is not evil...it's just mediocre" to the outright disgusted: "It's the end of the world."
Some even got nasty about the film, saying "excuse me while I scan my phone for the vomit emoji".
The professional reviewers have been equally outraged, with headlines such as "Emoji movie sucks (sadface!)" from the New York Post.
It's ironic given that the film has headliners such as James Corden and Patrick Stewart as cast. However it is true that it lives up to its tagline, "an adventure beyond words" - largely because it seems it could be summed up with a disgusted eye roll.
