Coldplay has paid an emotional tribute to Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington during the first leg of their tour.
Near the end of the performance at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on Tuesday night (local time), Coldplay singer Chris Martin performed a solo cover of Linkin Park's smash hit 'Crawling' on piano.
It was to remember Bennington, who died last month age 41 after taking his own life.

In a video uploaded online by a concert-goer, Martin messes up the opening then restarts the song instead of continuing, saying that he wants to get it right since it would end up on YouTube.
He dedicated the performance to "anyone who's missing someone".
Both Linkin Park and Blink-182 were scheduled to perform in the New York area days prior to the Coldplay show, but the co-headlining tour was cancelled following Bennington's death.
