Game of Thrones star Gwendoline Christie has revealed her on-screen counterpart prefers to stay in character - even when the cameras stop rolling.
Appearing on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Christie told audiences of Kristofer Hivju's on-set antics, which involve continuing his character's now-iconic leer in between takes too.
As life imitates art, Christie says the actor's unsettling methods 'creep [her] out'... but it's all in good fun.
"He likes to continue being in character even off set," she said. "He will start chewing a sandwich wildly at me... really kind of making love to that sandwich as he eyeballs me."
"In the script, it simply said, 'Tormund gives Brienne a look.' I was not expecting the power, the magnitude of sort of intense sexual intention to pour out of a man's eyes and cover me."

While a show based on the grim battle for power isn't generally a source for laugh-out-loud humour, the moment's proved to be a powerful one - resonating enough with fans to become what is easily one of the show's greatest memes.
