Jono & Ben are set to host the 2017 Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards at Spark Arena on November 16.
The TV funnymen, who also host a show on The Edge FM, hosted the event last year and reckon extortion is to thank for their return - along with the unavailability of a controversial TVNZ personality.
"We have some incriminating photos of the organisers, hence the reason we are back for a second year," said Jono.
"The organisers wanted Mike Hosking to host but we got a petition signed to get him removed and it worked," added Ben.
Finalists for the main awards will be announced on October 5 and tickets are set to go on sale the same day.
The ceremony will be broadcast live on Three on November 16 from 8:30pm.
