Crossing an international designer label with the ugliest shoe in the world makes for a pretty wacky combination.
Balenciaga presented its collaboration with footwear range Crocs, as part of its Spring 2018 range on the runway in Paris on Sunday (local time).
Designer Demna Gvasalia produced a platform version of the iconic slip-on sandal, including special customisations with the pins Crocs offers to attach to the perforated upper.
Already people are 'gramming the new footwear, and reactions are split on whether they're hip or hideous.
There's no word yet on how much the designer Crocs will cost, but estimates from fashion blogs are putting them in the range of about US$400.
It's not the first time Crocs have appeared on international runways in recent times.
Christopher Kane sent them down the runway at his Paris show last spring, prompting US Vogue to include the shoe in its list of trends to watch in 2017.
