Betty White has revealed the secret to her long life and career - vodka and hot dogs.
The 95-year-old actress told Parade magazine her longevity is the result of a life-long positive attitude, rather than an obsession with health or her diet.
"I know it sounds corny, but I try to see the funny side and the upside, not the downside," she says.
"I get bored with people who complain about this or that. It's such a waste of time."
The nonagenarian also revealed her love of vodka and hot dogs, "probably in that order".
White holds the record for the longest television career of a female entertainer, securing her first acting gig in 1939.
She struggled to find work in her 20s because she was deemed "unphotogenic" by film studio heads, but refused to give up on her dream of working in show business.
"You just keep plugging away," she told Parade. "You don't give up."
Eventually she found success in television, hosting variety show Hollywood on Television and producing and starring in the sitcom Life with Elizabeth.
White is the only woman to have received an Emmy Award in all performing comedic categories.
Her advice for how to live a long and successful life was simple: "Enjoy life."
"Accentuate the positive, not the negative. It sounds so trite, but a lot of people will pick out something to complain about, rather than say, 'Hey, that was great!'
"It's not hard to find great stuff if you look."
White will turn 96 on January 17.
