"This album is really inspired by my son, my wife, my family, but more so than any other album I've ever written, where I'm from. It's personal," he narrates in the video.
The clip features at least two of the tracks taken from Man of the Woods, and they have a distinctly southern US twang to them which has not been present in his discography up to this point.
"It feels so earthy - it's just where you are in your life right now," collaborator and friend Pharrell can be heard adding at one point.
The album's release date comes just two days before Timberlake performs at the Super Bowl halftime show.
