World-renowned Canadian singer Celine Dion is returning to our shores to perform here for the first time in more than two decades.

Frontier Touring has announced the 'Heart Will Go On' artist will be performing a solitary show at Auckland's Spark Arena as part of her LIVE Tour. The concert is scheduled for Saturday, August 11.

In a short video announcing her travels to Australasia, Dion spoke of her anticipation at the tour, saying she "can't wait" to visit.

"Hello everyone, this is Celine Dion and I'm very excited to let you know that we're touring Australia and New Zealand this coming July and August," she said.

"Can't wait to see you, can't wait to sing for you - take care, we're going to have a great time so see you soon. Be there, ciao."

The show in Auckland will be Dion's first here in more than 20 years, and her world tour will mark an end to her long-term residency at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, where she's performed more than 1000 shows.

Tickets for her concert go on sale on Monday, February 12.
