Former US first lady Michelle Obama has announced she is releasing a memoir, titled Becoming.
The book, published by Penguin Random House, will detail the experiences that have shaped her life.
It will cover her childhood on the south side of Chicago, her experience as an executive balancing motherhood and work, and her time as the first African American first lady.
"Writing Becoming has been a deeply personal experience," she wrote on Twitter.
"I talk about my roots and how a girl from the south side found her voice. I hope my journey inspires readers to find the courage to become whoever they aspire to be. I can't wait to share my story."
The "deeply personal" story will be available in 24 languages, and Ms Obama will herself read the audiobook version.
Becoming will be released around the world on November 13.
The announcement comes as Barack Obama on Sunday confirmed he will visit New Zealand in March.
It is not yet known whether Michelle Obama will accompany him on this trip.
