Hit and Run author Nicky Hager claims to have explosive new evidence which shows the Defence Force knew a child had been killed during a 2010 raid in Afghanistan.
Information showing five New Zealand military reports written within days of the raid mention the death of a child.

- Parents of Afghan girl killed plead for NZ govt inquiry
The Defence Force has previously denied all allegations made in the book Hit and Run, which Hager wrote with Jon Stephenson.
In the book, they claimed 21 civilians, including a three-year-old girl, were killed or injured in the 2010 raids which were retaliation for the death of Kiwi soldier Tim O'Donnell.
The Defence Force has not responded to Newshub's request for comment.
