Fast and Furious 9 is getting bigger and better - heading to Africa and bringing back a familiar face.
The ninth installment of the film franchise isn't gracing our screens until 2020, but star Vin Diesel confirmed there is a lot to be desired in the upcoming movie, including the return of Jordana Brewster's character Mia Toretto.
Brewster's character was absent from the 2017 film The Fate of the Furious following the tragic death of star and onscreen boyfriend Paul Walker in 2013. The pair were bid farewell in 2015's Furious 7.
Speaking to The Today Show with co-star Ludacris while promoting the upcoming films, Diesel revealed some exciting tid-bits for fans.
"I can say there are a few locations we've been wanting to travel, and one of them is Africa..." he told the US talkshow.
"The thing I'm most excited about is the fact that we are finally going to catch up to Mia Toretto in the ninth chapter. And I'm sure if you're smart, you can tell what all of that implies.
"It's a very positive component to this next one."
The film has a set release date of April 10, 2020.
