Grande had to disable her Instagram comments shortly after Miller's death due to fans blaming her for his death.
Since then she's been quiet about the death and only released a single image of Miller without a caption.
On Saturday (NZ time) she put up a video of Miller, with the accompanying caption revealing her emotions after he died.
"I adored you from the day I met you when I was nineteen and I always will. I can't believe you aren't here anymore. I really can't wrap my head around it," she wrote.
"We talked about this so many times. I'm so mad, I'm so sad I don't know what to do. You were my dearest friend for so long. "
Grande finished the post by apologising that she was unable to fix Miller or take his pain away even though she wanted to.
Fans of Miller had blamed Grande for a car accident the rapper got into shortly after the break-up, but she had furiously denied claims she was responsible for him.
"I am not a babysitter or a mother and no woman should feel that they need to be," she said at the time.
