Ever since the opening riffs of 'Prisoner of Society', The Living End have been cranking out killer rock songs with catchy choruses for more than 20 years.
One of Australia's most popular live acts, their unique combination of guitar, double bass and drums and their mix of rock, punk and rockabilly have won them numerous awards and legions of fans across the world.

Lead singer Chris Cheney says they are coming back to New Zealand after too many years, and they're bringing a whole new show, following a new single and album - and a new music video with a cameo from Aussie rock royalty Jimmy Barnes.
Most people describe their genre as punk or "punkabilly", but Cheney says they're more than one genre.
"We started out in the punk scene and the rockabilly scene, but I like to think of us as just a rock band. We've covered a lot of styles and we're eight albums in. If we were a one-trick pony and a punk band I don't think we could have maintained."
Known for their loud and exciting live performances, bass player Scott Owen is often seen standing on top of his double bass, and at times falling off.
"He has fallen off many times," says Cheney. "The thing has been repaired and put back together and screwed and drilled. It's not meant to be stood on because it's a musical instrument, but what can I say? It's a thing."
If this sounds like your kind of thing, New Zealand tour dates are being announced next week, September 10, on The Rock.
