In a rare televised performance, the iconic band played hits 'The Chain', and 'Gypsy' with the former Crowded House singer on vocals and guitar.
In a tweet following the performance, Finn thanked fans for their messages of "goodwill, welcome, concern, bemusement and wonder".
"I love being in Fleetwood Mac," he added.
The new line up also included Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers guitarist Mike Campbell. Finn and Campbell both joined the band after original member Lindsay Buckingham's exit in April.
In a statement announcing the news earlier this year, co-founder and drummer Mick Fleetwood said "the chemistry really worked" when jamming with Finn.
At the time, Finn told Rolling Stone he "couldn't wait" to perform with the legendary rock outfit.
"I received a wonderful invitation to be a part of a truly great band," he said.
"A few days later, I was standing in a room playing music with Fleetwood Mac.
"It felt fresh and exciting... Best of all, we sounded good together. It was a natural fit."
Fleetwood Mac and their new line up are set to commence a North American tour of over 50 cities in October.
