Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been welcomed to Government House in Wellington with a pōwhiri.
Shortly after landing at Wellington Airport, the royal couple were escorted to the Pukeahu National War Memorial for an official welcome into the country.
Governor-General Dame Patsy Reddy greeted the royal couple before a group of schoolboys from Hato Pāora college performed a haka.
Harry then watched a military performance from a platform as Meghan observed from behind.
The royal couple will spend the day in Wellington, visiting the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier to lay a wreath, before moving on to Government House for official duties.
Earlier, about 150 people were at Wellington Airport to welcome the pair to New Zealand.
