While the majority of comments on the Instagram post praised Khloe's skills as a mother and swoon over True's adorable smile, criticism about the reality star's choice of accessory crept in.
"Please do not teach your child that cultural appropriation is acceptable - DO BETTER," one comment read.
"The next child in this family should be named Kultural Appropriation," said another.
One Instagram user told the reality TV star the image offended their culture, while many fans appeared oblivious to the issue altogether.
"Those rice hats are sooo cute on you guys!" one admirer wrote.
Khloe has been called out online for cultural appropriation several times.
In 2015, she was blasted for wearing a niqab in an Instagram post captioned "Habibi Love".
The summer before that, she sparked controversy by donning a Native-American headdress at a Coachella-themed party.
Sisters Kendall Jenner and Kim Kardashian have also come under fire for sporting cornrow hair braids on many occasions.
Earlier this week, Khloe live-tweeted the long-awaited episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians that followed the moments after footage surfaced of her boyfriend Tristan Thompson kissing another woman.
The scandal unfolded just days before the 34-year-old was due to give birth to True, now 6 months old.
