Tekashi 6ix9ine: Inmates upset at rapper's special treatment

Tekashi 6ix9ine is facing a tough time in prison, as his fellow inmates grow frustrated at the special treatment the rapper is receiving.

The 'Gummo' hitmaker is accused of carrying out armed robberies and organising shootings of rivals as part of the Nine Trey Bloods gang.

Tekashi69, real name Daniel Hernandez, is an admitted child sex offender and reportedly faces 32 years to life in prison if convicted of the new charges.

His lawyer claims he's a "completely innocent" victim, and only pretended to be a gangster to sell his music.

An entire dormitory was cleared out in preparation for Tekashi69's arrival at the prison, TMZ reports.

Eleven other inmates were placed in the dormitory with Tekashi69, but only ones who were not affiliated with a gang.

The dormitory he's in is typically used for high-profile inmates, child predators and corrupt police officers.

Inmates have begun voicing their displeasure with the situation, screaming at what they believe to be special treatment.

One inmate mocked Tekashi69 by singing about a child predator, in reference to the rapper's previous run-in with the law around child sex offences.

The rapper admitted to child sex offences in 2015 and narrowly avoid prison by agreeing to a plea deal.
