Kurt Cobain's daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, has taken to social media to share a teaser of a powerful upcoming song, in which she references suicide.
- Frances Bean Cobain doesn't like Nirvana that much
- Kurt Cobain's death 'not cool', says Courtney Love
The short clip features the 26-year-old playing the guitar in a heartfelt performance for her 1 million Instagram followers.
Frances Bean included the song's emotional lyrics in the caption of the video, writing: "No one told me how I should love myself/Damn near killed me/Damn near killed myself."
NME reports that Frances Bean, the only child of the Nirvana frontman and Hole singer Courtney Love, was signed to Columbia Records earlier this year, entering into a two-album contract.
The singer/songwriter also told fans she was under the weather when she filmed the clip.
"If I could keep the raspiness in my voice from being sick without getting sick... I would," she wrote.
Earlier this earlier, Frances Bean and ex-husband Isaiah Silva finalised their divorce, in which Silva gained possession of the guitar Cobain played in Nirvana's iconic 1993 MTV Unplugged performance.
Cobain was found dead at his Seattle home the following year, where forensic analysis determined he had died by suicide.
