The stars came out this week for the premiere of the much-anticipated Avengers: Endgame in Los Angeles - and so did the stones.
Brie Larson and Scarlett Johansson, who play Captain Marvel and Black Widow, caused a stir with their jewellery choices, representing the six Infinity stones central to the film's storyline.
The actresses both rocked gems that re-imagined Thanos' Infinity Gauntlet, made up of the Reality Stone, Soul Stone, Mind Stone, Space Stone, Time Stone and Power Stone.
Thanos used the powerful glove to wipe out half of all life in the universe in Avengers: Infinity War and its set to be a crucial part of the plot of Endgame.
Johansson and Larson's jewels quickly lead to speculation that their characters might be the ones to defeat Thanos in the franchise's climax.
"Brie Larson is literally wearing all six Infinity Stones. Thanos really is over," one fan wrote on Twitter.
"Scarlett Johansson and Brie Larson wearing infinity stones to the Endgame premiere is such a power move," said another.
"Brie Larson is wearing the Infinity Stones because Carol Danvers [Captain Marvel's real name] is THAT powerful," one claimed.
Larson's ring and bracelet combo was designed by Irene Neuwirth Jewelry, while Johansson's was created by Sonia Boyajian, at the request of her partner.
"My beautiful wonderful spectacular friend last night wore the gift that her beau @colinjost commissioned me to make her as a memento for the last Avengers film," Boyajian wrote on Instagram.
"It was certainly the craziest commission, but up for the challenge, this was my version of the glove of Thanos."
Avengers: Endgame opened in New Zealand cinemas on Wednesday.
