The first multiplayer videos for this year's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare have been released ahead of the game's launch in October.
- Modern Warfare single player trailer teases an intense reboot of a classic
- PlayStation 5 pre-order listed with price of $1580
A cinematic trailer released on the official Call of Duty YouTube account is set to Metallica's 'Enter Sandman', with gun sound effects adding percussion to the slightly remixed song.
Gameplay capture videos of people actually playing the game have also been released on various websites.
Modern Warfare will feature a new two-versus-two mode called Gunfight, traditional six-versus-six multiplayer gameplay as well as modes supporting 10-versus-10 and 20-versus-20 battles, along with Ground War, which will support more than 100 players.
Popular streamer and former pro Counter Strike player Shroud is one of the select few people to have played the new Modern Warfare who is not a member of the development team.
"It is extremely different," he told Call of Duty News.
"It still has that like Call of Duty feel to it where you run and gun but they've definitely tuned it down. It's a lot more tactical, slower-paced, like scoping in your weapons, changing your weapons. Overall, I'm a fan and I wanted to play it more."
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be released on October 25 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
Beta testing periods, which will support crossplay, kick off on September 19.
