Tyrese Gibson mocks Dwayne Johnson over Hobbs & Shaw box office results

Tyrese Gibson has taken aim at Dwayne Johnson after his Fast & Furious spinoff Hobbs & Shaw suffered a relatively low opening weekend at the box office.

It's the latest in a series of several social media attacks by the actor on his more successful co-star.

Gibson suffered a public meltdown in 2017, posting several videos online of himself sobbing and connecting Johnson to the custody battle he was engaged in over his daughter Shayla.

In July 2018, Johnson addressed the feud publically after remaining tight-lipped, saying that the pair's friendship was over for good.

But Gibson apparently doesn't want their beef to end and has openly mocked Johnson on social media, yet again.

"I have to show my respects for one thing. He tried," Gibson said on Instagram in a post he then deleted, but The Shade Room reposted.

"180 million global opening on Hobbs and Shaw is NOT a win.

"Folks called me a hater and attacked me for speaking out. Breaking up the family clearly doesn't have the value that one would assume it does. Maybe The Rock and crew will come dance with us again for #Fast10."

Gibson posted the comments under a screenshot of an article headlined Hobbs & Shaw has lowest Fast & Furious box office opening since Tokyo Drift.

Johnson hasn't responded to Gibson's attack but has thanked the fans who have supported his latest film.
