The comedy duo has accepted new positions at NZME on Radio Hauraki and will be working on a new television show for TVNZ.
Jono and Ben joined The Edge Afternoons show with Sharyn Casey in 2017, after a long-running stint as The Rock's drive time hosts.
In November last year, the pair announced the end of their television show Jono and Ben, which aired in various iterations over a seven-year run, with 200 episodes made.
MediaWorks Director of Content for Radio Leon Wratt confirmed the news in a statement on Wednesday.
"Jono and Ben have informed us that at the end of this year they have decided to depart for TVNZ and NZME in a move that will see them get a guaranteed TV show for 2020," Wratt said.
"While it's sad to see them leave, it's a great opportunity for us to develop a new team to work with Sharyn Casey on The Edge drive show for 2020.
"I'd like to acknowledge the great work they have done for MediaWorks for many years and wish them all the best on behalf of the company."
Sharyn will continue hosting the Edge Afternoons show with a new team in 2020.
