US late-night talk show host Stephen Colbert has taken to social media about his catch up with Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern.
On Friday afternoon, a selfie of the pair was posted to his Twitter account.
"Just hanging out in Auckland with the PM," Colbert wrote.

He went on to say Ardern had "appointed me President of New Zealand!"
Earlier on Friday, The Spinoff editor, Toby Manhire, snapped a picture of the pair, along with comedian Alice Snedden, having a chat outside the Morningside Precinct in Auckland.
A Tourism NZ spokesperson said they are working with The Late Show to produce a series of segments that will be broadcast in November.
Colbert and Ardern had long been planning The Late Show host's trip to Aotearoa.
