Thankfully, the 'I Love It' hitmaker sensed the public was in desperate need of some truth and knowledge, and dutifully sat down for a two-hour long yarn with Kiwi-born radio host Zane Lowe.
Here are the top five most preposterous things Kanye said in his Beats 1 interview.
He is the greatest human artist of all time
As we all know, according to 2009 MTV awards Kanye, Beyoncé had one of the best videos "of all time, OF ALL TIME".
These days, though, it's important for Ye to clarify that despite Bey's great music vids, he's actually the singular greatest human artist of all time.
"I am unquestionably, undoubtedly, the greatest human artist of all time," he said.
"It's not even a question at this point."
If not a question, then what, Kanye?
"It's just a fact."
Whether or not there is an extra-terrestrial, non-human artist out there that is greater than Kanye remained unaddressed.
His support for Trump was a silly ol' prank by God
Taking into account all of his strange fashion choices, Kanye's donning of the red Make American Great Again cap was perhaps his least appealing.
Once again, though, it's us - humble mortals - that are missing the point because the whole 'Kanye loves Trump' thing turned out to be an elaborate gag orchestrated by the big man upstairs.

Now a "son of God" like old mate Jesus, it makes sense that Yeezus should spread the good word, even if it means taking ownership of his employees' most intimate moments.
"There were times where I was asking people not to have premarital sex while they were working on the album," he said.
For a man who three years ago rapped: "For all the girls that got dick from Kanye West / If you see 'em in the streets give 'em Kanye's best", this feels a little on the nose.

We all remember Kanye's initial declaration of presidential candidacy back in 2015, when he said he'd be running in the 2020 elections.
Of course, a busy schedule of coming up with unique baby names and dissing Taylor Swift has pushed that dream back a bit, but Ye wants you to know he'll be in the White House soon enough.
"There will be a time when I will be President of the US and I will remember... any founder that didn't have the capacity to understand culturally what we're doing," he said.
Kanye mentioned his plans for a 2024 election run last year, at which point he also blessed me with what would become my daily mantra to recite in front of the mirror.
"If I decide to do it, it will be done, I’m not going to try."
A copy of Playboy magazine affected every decision he ever made
Many of us can recall an influential teacher or sage piece of advice that had a strong impact on our young lives. For five-year-old Kanye, it was a naughty magazine.
"Like for me, Playboy was my gateway into full-on pornography addiction," Kanye explained.
"My dad had a Playboy left out at age five and it's affected almost every choice I made for the rest of my life."
Including, as it turns out, crucial decisions on denim wear and alcohol brands.
"You know that Playboy that I found when I was 5-years-old was written all over the moment when I was at the MTV awards with the Timberlands, the Balmain jeans, before people was rocking Balmain jeans, and the Hennessy bottle.
"It's like that was such a script out of a rockstar's life."
