The disembodied head of Keanu Reeves as a sentient tumbleweed has been revealed as a character in a new Spongebob movie.
The Matrix star's new role was unveiled in the first trailer for The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge On The Run, which will be released in 2020.
In the film, SpongeBob and Patrick set out on a quest to The Lost City of Atlantic City to find their beloved pet snail Gary, encountering a whole host of colorful characters - including Reeves.
"Hello," he says as SpongeBob and Patrick freak out upon first seeing him.
"Call me Sage. I'm made out of sage and I am a sage. So it works out pretty well."
As well as Reeves, Snoop Dogg and Awkwafina also join the regular SpongeBob voice cast in the film.
