Next week, Newshub celebrates an anniversary very few people expected us to reach - 30 years on New Zealand's television screens.
It was a battle just to get on air on the 26th of November 1989. Six months later we were in receivership but we survived that and a few other hairy moments since. Even now a similar air of uncertainty surrounds our future.
Now, Newshub Live at 6pm co-anchor Mike McRoberts looks back at the start of TV3 and its connections to what Newshub is still doing today.
