Love Island UK host Caroline Flack has been arrested and charged with assault after allegedly beating her boyfriend in London.
The charge was confirmed by a spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police, who gave a statement to The Independent. Authorities said an incident occurred at around 5.30am on December 12 (local time), which saw her partner, tennis player Lewis Burton taken to hospital.
The spokesperson added that Burton's injuries were not serious. However, the Daily Mail printed photos of Flack's front door spattered with what they claimed was blood the morning after.
The tabloid reported that Flack needed medical treatment after cutting her hand on some glass during the confrontation.
Flack's ex-fiance Andrew Brady appeared to respond to the incident by posting images of an non-disclosure agreement pertaining to a particular relationship.
Brady dated Flack in 2018 - the same year printed on the contract he uploaded to Instagram. All of the personal details in the document have been blacked out, but Brady captioned the images with the hashtag "abusehasnogender".
Brady also tweeted an apparent reference to the incident, writing: "Sad that I'm not more surprised by the news".
The Daily Mail reported Flack's current partner, Burton - alleged to have been the victim - is not interested in pressing charges, according to sources close to the couple.
Flack will appear in court on bail on December 23.
