Movie and wrestling superstar Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has issued a heartfelt goodbye to his dad.
Rocky Johnson passed away aged 75 years old on Wednesday. He was a Canadian professional wrestler, who won many championships and trained his son, who was also a massively successful wrestler before becoming a famous actor.
The Rock posted an emotional goodbye on social media.
"I love you. You broke color barriers, became a ring legend and trail blazed your way thru this world.
"I was the boy sitting in the seats, watching and adoring you, my hero from afar.
"I love you dad and I'll always be your proud and grateful son.
"Go rest high," he posted on Instagram.
Johnson's fans and fellow celebrities flooded his post with heartfelt responses.
"I'm so sorry and I still can't believe it.😢 Rocky Johnson was a trailblazer and 'changed the game' in wrestling and now you are 'changing the way the game is played' - like father like son," wrote one fan.
"Love you bro," his famous on-screen friend Kevin Hart posted.
The elder Johnson known, in World Wrestling Federation (now WWE) as the 'Soul Man', was the first black champion of the WWF, and with his partner Tony Atlas he won the World Tag Team Championship in 1983.
