What is chronic mononucleosis and Lyme disease?
Chronic mononucleosis is a rare disease and appears in those with abnormalities in the immune system, while Lyme disease is an illness caused by a type of bacteria called Borrelia bacterium spread by ticks.
The tick bite or sting causes a circular rash and flu-like symptoms such as a fever, headache, sore muscles and swollen lymph nodes.
Many celebrities like Avril Lavigne, Shania Twain, Alec Baldwin, Bella Hadid have been diagnosed with Lyme disease.
Lyme disease is the most common vector-borne disease in the United States, according to the Centers for Disease Control Prevention.
It is treatable by antibiotics.
