Tom Hanks' sister says the Hollywood actor is "okay, but not great" as he and his wife Rita Wilson battle COVID-19.
Sandra Hanks Benoiton told the Daily Mail she'd recently spoken with her brother while he and Rita were quarantined in Australia.
Earlier this month, Tom revealed the news that the couple had tested positive for coronavirus. He said the pair got checked out after they felt tired, like they had colds.
"I have communicated with my brother," Sandra said.
"He's not great, but still okay."
Sandra said she wasn't shocked to hear her sibling was having a tough time with the virus because "he's an actor, not a god". She praised the healthcare system down under, adding: "Medical care in Australia is good."
In a recent update on his Instagram page, Tom himself said he had "no fever but the blahs", and urged his followers to help "flatten the curve".
The Forrest Gump star's sister is based in Italy with her family, having moved there in 2016. They are currently subject to lockdown procedures.
Sandra told the Mail the spirit of the people in Pordenone, her local province, is "amazing".
