Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern's days performing as a DJ at music festivals have been remembered as the move to COVID-19 alert level 1 sees gigs and parties back on New Zealand's social calendar.
George FM dredged up one of Ardern's setlists which she shared on Facebook after playing the 2014 Laneway Festival in Auckland.
"Busy on Friday Jacinda Ardern?" the radio station's Facebook page asked.
"Come jump on the decks at the George FM Release Party."
The Prime Minister's full 13-song setlist from the 2014 Laneway festival is as follows:
Beyonce and Andre 3000 - 'Back to Black'
Gossip - 'Careless Whisper'
Terry Reid - 'Bang Bang'
Street Chant - 'Black or White'
Smashing Pumpkins - 'Clones'
Tom Jones - 'Lust for Life'
Sid Vicious - 'My Way'
Mint Chicks - 'She's a Mod'
William Shatner - 'Common People'
Snoop Dogg and Led Zeppelin - 'Drop It Like It's Hot' vs 'Whole Lotta Love'
Little Pictures - 'Buddy Holly'
Pyjama Party - 'It's Love'
Toy Love - 'Yummy yummy yummy'
Ardern does not appear to have officially responded to George FM's invitation - however, she did graciously decline a similar offer in 2018 when a first-year university student emailed her office requesting she play Bar 101's closing down party in Hamilton.
Last year, Ardern's partner Gayford pranked listeners of George FM for April Fools by announcing he would reprise his role as breakfast radio host on the dance music station. The fake show had the tagline 'First man, first thing'.
