A new royal biography claims Meghan Markle made a "huge social gaffe" when she revealed her pregnancy on the same day as Princess Eugenie's wedding, leaving Prince Harry "embarrassed" and the bride and her mother "furious".
According to the Daily Mail, a new book titled Royals at War claims Meghan announced she was expecting her first child during celebrations at Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's wedding in October, 2018.
The investigative journalists behind the book say Meghan "put her foot in it" with the news, a move that bothered her husband as well as the wider royal family.
"This was a huge social gaffe, even if you were not a royal - stealing the limelight from Eugenie, who was furious, as was her mother, Sarah."
Rumours of Meghan's ill-timed announcement swirled at the time of the wedding, where the claims were refuted by a source who allegedly told Harper's Bazaar the Duke and Duchess didn't "overshadow" Eugenie's big day.
The article claimed the central members of the royal family already knew Meghan was pregnant, but had not seen them in person to congratulate them until the wedding.
Another upcoming biography titled Meghan and Harry: The Real Story claims to reveal the details of another blunder made by Meghan at Prince Charles' birthday party which left royal commentators "gobsmacked".
