A new film which stars Michael Jackson's daughter Paris as a lebsian, nose-ring wearing depiction of Jesus Christ has caused outrage, prompting more than a quarter of a million signatures on a petition to make sure it never sees a cinema release.
The indie flick entitled Habit will see Jackson star opposite Bella Thorne, who plays a "street smart, party girl with a Jesus fetish [who] gets mixed up in a violent drug deal and finds a possible way out by masquerading as a Nun", according to a press release.
Several media outlets are reporting that Jackson's portrayal of Jesus will see her indulge in lustful acts with another woman.
A change.org petition to prevent the movie from being picked up by distributors is labelling it "blasphemous" and "Christianphobic garbage". At the time of writing, more than 250,552 people have signed it.
On Twitter, one commentator described Habit as "beyond disrespectful to our Lord and Savior", while another wrote: "As a gay Christian, I am delighted. Happy Pride."
Jackson recently unveiled reality series Unfiltered on Facebook Watch which chronicles her relationship with boyfriend Gabriel Glenn.
