Reality TV star Francesca Farago has announced she and her Too Hot To Handle boyfriend Harry Jowsey have broken up after getting together on the dating show.
Earlier this year, Jowsey told Newshub he and Farago were picking out engagement rings and planning to start a family, but an emotional video uploaded by his former girlfriend reveals the relationship has since broken down.
"We're not together and we're not getting back together," Farago told fans on a YouTube video uploaded on June 16 entitled Our Breakup.
"I cannot fake a relationship. I cannot pretend that everything is going to be okay," she said through tears.
Farago said Jowsey had made the decision to break up because he couldn't stay in a long distance relationship.
In the caption of the video, which has been viewed over 100,000 times at the time of writing, Farago admits she and Jowsey were guilty of portraying their relationship as "perfect".
"I am very sorry for that," she wrote.
In the clip, Farago explained that she was reluctant to share the news at first, convinced the couple were "just going through a rocky period".
"I didn't even want to tell my friends... I thought that no matter what we were going to end up together, I thought we were going to get married," she said.
"There have been a lot of things that have happened that have proved to me that the way I was thinking was not the way he was thinking.
"There's a lot of things that I, personally, for my own mental health cannot tolerate any more."
Farago alluded to actions taken by Jowsey that had shown her he was "moving on", adding: "I need to do the same".
"There were a lot of rumours that came up that turned out to be true, and I was getting sent a lot of screenshots and messages," she said.
"I didn't want to believe it, because how could you have a wedding ring folder with someone but you're also saying I can't be with you because of the distance."
Farago said there was "a lot more to the story" adding that Jowsey had refused to go public with the news himself at the time of the split. At the time of writing, Jowsey was teasing a tell-all about the breakup on his Instagram.
