Kim Kardashian is reportedly "completely devastated" by her husband Kanye West's recent actions, after he revealed the couple had considered aborting their daughter North in a tearful speech at his presidential rally.
Soon after, West retreated to his ranch in Wyoming, where he posted a series of concerning tweets that included claims Kardashian and her mother Kris Jenner had "tried to lock him up with a doctor".
According to US Weekly, a source close to the family says Kardashian "feels helpless" and thinks the father of her four children "crossed a line" when he spoke about private family matters so publicly.
"She's tried so hard to help him," the source said.
Entertainment Tonight reports a source as asserting West, who suffers from bipolar disorder, "isn't in a good place and isn't listening to anyone trying to talk him into getting help".
Kardashian is said to be "heartbroken" by the idea of her 7-year-old daughter North seeing footage of her father screaming "I almost killed my daughter" when she gets older.
The reality TV star previously called dealing with her husband's mental illness "an emotional process" in an interview with Vogue last year, but said the couple could "feel bipolar episodes coming and knew how to handle them".
Having deleted many of his tweets - some of which referenced his wife's infamous sex tape and Playboy magazine shoot - West returned to Twitter to declare he's dropped a new album this week. He also shared an awkward video with comedian Dave Chappell, in which West urges him to make a joke to "lift their spirits".
