Former Disney star Bella Thorne has made a staggering seven-figure sum in just 24 hours after launching her OnlyFans account.
According to Paper magazine, the actor, singer and model raked in over NZ$1.5 million (US$1 million) in her first day as a creator on the paid content subscription service.
Thorne announced her move to OnlyFans with a saucy bikini-clad video on her Instagram account, in which she wore a jewel-encrusted choker spelling out the word 'sex'. The 22-year-old told Paper OnlyFans was the first platform where she could control her image "without censorship, without judgement, and without being bullied online for being me".
The service is well-known for its X-rated content and is dominated by creators who are famous in the adult entertainment industry. Thorne offers her fans exclusive personal video and photo content for US$20 a month, plus she responds to every message she gets from subscribers.
The bio on Thorne's account reads: "Get to know me more, I'm your girl," and includes a link to her Amazon wishlist, which features kitchenware items, golf clubs and hair products.
The former star of Disney Channel's Shake It Up series hoped to be able to monetise her already popular social media selfies and share never-before-seen content without the strict censorship restrictions of a platform like Instagram.
Thorne has been outspoken about female empowerment through sexuality and famously leaked her own nudes to Twitter when threatened by a hacker in 2019. In the same year, Thorne directed a PornHub Premium movie entitled Her & Him, which won numerous adult film awards.
