More FM host Jay-Jay Feeney has resorted to letting her co-host Flynny give her a quarantine haircut while unable to visit her hairdresser during Auckland's COVID-19 alert level three lockdown.
"Today's going to be a really strange day at work," she told her followers on her Instagram Story, "because see my undercut here? I really need it done, and I can't get into a hairdresser for a long time."
Brandishing a pair of clippers, Flynny announced "I got you, mate... I've done heaps of haircuts before, and by heaps, I mean none. So you'll be fine."
Feeney said her co-host was "blind as a bat" and "the clumsiest guy I know", but was willing to risk it all for a trim.
Once underway, Flynny's rough and ready approach had Feeney worried - and it wasn't long before he exclaimed "oh my God!' having taken a bit too much off the top.
"What the hell?!" Feeney asked while surveying the damage.
"I'm sorry mate," Flynny said.
Still, Feeney wasn't entirely unhappy with the end result, which saw one side of her head sporting a very close shave.
"It's not so bad," she said. "I mean, not bad for an amateur."
