More FM host Jay-Jay Feeney has explained she's "out of action", revealing why she hasn't been on-air this week for her usual afternoon show on More FM.
"I've been bedridden since Monday night with vertigo," Feeney shared in an Instagram post.
"I literally cannot move. I can barely eat. I've had it before so I know what to expect, and it's not fun."
The broadcaster said she hoped she would be "back up and running in no time", but didn't appear to have any idea when she would be well again.
Vertigo is a disorder of the inner ear that can make the sufferer feel as though they are spinning or falling - a symptom often made worse by movement.
Many of Feeney's 78,000 Instagram followers wished her a speedy recovery, including fellow radio host Megan Mansell, who used to work with Feeney at The Edge.
"I'm so sorry, look after yourself," Mansell wrote, while Dancing with the Stars NZ judge Julz Tocker simply offered: "Damnnn."
Many fans sympathised with the radio host's struggle, having dealt with the "hideous" symptoms of vertigo themselves.
"I've had it a few times and there is nothing worse. I really hope it’s over soon," one commenter wrote.
