Taylor Swift has shown off her support for US Presidential candidate Joe Biden with custom-baked cookies emblazoned with his name.
The 'Shake It Off' singer, who spent much of career steering clear of political discourse, also gave an interview with V Magazine on why she would be voting for Biden and his running mate Kamala Harris this election.
"The change we need most is to elect a president who recognises that people of colour deserve to feel safe and represented," Swift said in the interview.
"That women deserve the right to choose what happens to their bodies, and that the LGBTQIA+ community deserves to be acknowledged and included."
While she did not name Donald Trump, Swift appeared to take aim at the current US President's handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, adding: "Everyone deserves a government that takes global health risks seriously and puts the lives of its people first."
The 30-year-old pop star insisted that the only way things would improve is if leaders were chosen "who are willing to face these issues and find ways to work through them".
"I will proudly vote for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in this year's presidential election. Under their leadership, I believe America has a chance to start the healing process it so desperately needs."
Swift showed off her Biden cookies on Twitter, saying she was planning to watch the Vice President's debate and support Harris by "yelling at the TV a lot".
