The Edge radio host Megan Mansell and her husband Guy have made an appearance on Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson's Instagram page after their wedding vows were shared with his 200 million followers.
The Kiwi broadcaster sent her wedding video in after Dwayne's wife Lauren Hashian requested footage from people who got married during the COVID-19 pandemic for her new music video.
"It was kind of a sign of the time and how everyone was feeling," Megan explained about the video for the song 'Step Into A Love Like This', which Lauren wrote and performed for Dwayne at their wedding.
"They asked everyone to send in their videos and I sent in mine and it got chosen."
Along with having their big day featured in the official music video, all the couples involved got a shout out from the Hollywood heavyweight and his wife.
"To all the newlyweds who sent in their beautiful footage, thank you, we love you and wish you the best life, love and mana. It's been such a reminder that true love is safe healing and beautiful," Dwayne and Lauren said in a message to participants.
"Thank you for your poignant vows and words to one another. I wish I knew more about every one of you because once you've watched someone's personal story you have a connection with them."
Having been one of the videos chosen from over 500 fan submissions, Megan told her Edge co-hosts on Monday: "So Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson's watched my vows and has a connection with me!"
At the time of writing, the clip shared to The Rock's Instagram page has been viewed more than 2.9 million times.
