Chrissy Teigen has revealed a new tattoo she got in honour of her late son Jack, who died due to complications that saw him delivered early at 20 weeks.
In a series of 'date night' uploads to her Instagram Story, the supermodel shared a photo of her holding hands with husband John Legend, showing off some new ink.
The tattoo reads simply 'Jack', written in the same cursive writing used in an older tattoo that reads 'John - Luna - Miles', with reference to Teigen's partner and two young children.
The cookbook author recently opened up about her miscarriage in a heartbreaking essay written for Medium, in which she detailed saying goodbye to her baby.
"I asked the nurses to show me his hands and feet and I kissed them over and over and over again. I have no idea when I stopped. It could have been 10 minutes or an hour," she wrote.
Teigen also hit back at critics who had condemned her sharing of intimate photos from the hospital on that day.
"I cannot express how little I care that you hate the photos... I lived it, I chose to do it, and more than anything, these photos aren't for anyone but the people who have lived this or are curious enough to wonder what something like this is like. These photos are only for the people who need them. The thoughts of others do not matter to me."
The 34-year-old mother said that the family planned to scatter Jack's ashes under a tree in their new home.
"Jack will always be loved, explained to our kids as existing in the wind and trees and the butterflies they see," she wrote.
