Britney Spears' boyfriend Sam Asghari has condemned the troubled pop star's father as "a total dick" in an unprecedented rant about the Spears family situation.
In a post shared to his Instagram Story, Asghari wrote: "Now it's important for people to understand that I have zero respect for someone trying to control our relationship and constantly throwing obstacles our way."
"In my opinion, Jamie is a total dick," he continued.
"I won't be going into details because I've always respected our privacy but at the same time I didn't come to this country to not be able to express my opinion and freedom."
Asghari, who is Iranian, spoke out following the release of the documentary Framing Britney Spears, which looks at the 'Toxic' singer's controversial conservatorship agreement that sees her father control her personal, financial and business affairs.
In a follow up conversation with a TMZ paparazzi, Asghari doubled down on his post, telling the cameraman: "What I said is what I said, I think he's a dick, that's just my opinion, I'm not going to go into details."
Asked if he felt he could ever be on good terms with Spears' dad, Asghari replied: "I hope so, once he starts treating his daughter right then we can be on good terms."
The documentary has fuelled concerns for the 39-year-old pop star, with proponents the #FreeBritney movement having long been vocal about the unfairness of Spears' situation, allegeding she's been held against her will.
Celebrities like Sarah Jessica Parker, Khloe Kardashian and Bette Midler all tweeted #FreeBritney after watching Framing Britney Spears, with Kardashian adding that she was "praying" for the Grammy winner.
Meanwhile, Asghari told the TMZ cameras his girlfriend was "doing amazing" adding, "I'm always having her back".
