The hosts of the Mai FM morning crew sported more than a few raised eyebrows on Monday morning when speaking with a caller who claimed he had been abducted by aliens as a child.
The man, referred to only as 'P', told the radio hosts he was "taken from his room" in Auckland when he was eight years old - around 1997.
"At first I thought it was just a dream... and then I was inspecting my body in the mirror and I saw two markings on my abdomen, completely symmetrical to each other," the caller said.
His mother allegedly took him to the doctor, who ran tests but was unable to explain the marks on his body.
"So what happened?" questioned fill-in host Kara Rickard.
"I was abducted, I was taken from my room into a space that was full of light - you've probably heard that before," the caller said.
"I can't remember a physical being, but I remember shadowy silhouettes moving around and I remember the two prongs that came into my body."
"Okay, okay," host Jordan River interrupted, attempting to wrap up the story.
"That's the very first encounter that I remember," the caller said.
Broadcaster Nickson Clark then queried why P thought he had been chosen by the aliens.
"Dude, I'm not the only one," he said.
"They always take the same kind of people," Clark mused.
"You need to abduct scientists, people who be knowing heaps of things," he added.
Last month, Clark lost his temper on-air while speaking with flat-Earther David Weiss, calling him "an idiot".
