Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have announced they are expecting their second child.
In an announcement on Sunday (local time) the Duke and Duchess of Sussex revealed that another baby is on the way.
"We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child," a spokesperson for the couple said in a statement.
The news comes just months after Markle revealed she had suffered a miscarriage in July of last year. The Duchess of Sussex candidly wrote about the "unbearable grief" she suffered in a piece written for The New York Times.
The new baby will be the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh's tenth great-grandchild and Prince Charles' fifth grandchild.
Harry and Meghan's first son, one-year-old Archie, was born in May 2019.
The family relocated to the United States at the beginning of 2020, after they gave up their official royal roles following disagreements with other family members and in the face of huge media attention.
