Meghan Markle paid tribute to Princess Diana by wearing a diamond tennis bracelet owned by her late mother-in-law during her and Prince Harry's tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey.
The pregnant Duchess of Sussex donned the same bracelet that her husband Harry took stones from to have her engagement ring made, noticeable as she rested her hand on her baby bump in the teaser clips for the much-anticipated special.
A spokesperson for the royal couple told media outlets the couple "wanted Meghan to wear the bracelet to have [Harry's] mother there with them during the interview".
Diana and her untimely death will certainly be a talking point in the revealing interview with Oprah, as evidenced by several comments made by Harry shown in trailers.
"My biggest concern was history repeating itself," Harry tells Oprah in one clip, seemingly referencing Diana's death in 1997 as a result of a car crash that occurred while she was being chased by the paparazzi.
"I'm just really relieved and happy to be sitting here, talking to you with my wife by my side," Harry says in another moment from the interview.
"Because I can't begin to imagine what it must have been like for her going through this process by herself all those years ago. Because it has been unbelievably tough for the two of us, but at least we have each other."
It's not the first time Meghan has worn Diana's jewellery - she's been seen in a pair of the Princess of Wales' gold butterfly earrings, a gold bracelet and perhaps most notably, she wore Diana's huge aquamarine ring as her "something blue" on her wedding day.
CBS Presents Oprah with Meghan and Harry will air in Aotearoa exclusively on Three and online on ThreeNow at 7.30pm Tuesday, March 9.
