Prince Harry has returned to Los Angeles to reunite with his pregnant wife Meghan Markle after rumours he could extend his stay in the UK to be with Queen Elizabeth on her birthday.
The Duke of Sussex was reportedly "conflicted" over whether to delay his flight home to the US to be with his mourning grandmother as she turned 95, but ultimately made the choice to return to his wife, who was advised not to travel to Prince Philip's funeral by doctors.
Harry's departure comes as hopes for the mending of the well-publicised rift within the Royal Family fade, after Prince William and Harry were spotted walking together after the service where they bid farewell to their grandfather.
William and Prince Charles were said to have met with Harry for a "two-hour-long peace talk" after the ceremony, however ultimately it seems as though little progress was made toward a proper reconciliation.
Harry also reportedly sent a "deeply personal letter" to his father ahead of his arrival in the UK, after more than a year apart, outlining his reasons for leaving the Royal Family and pledging to "respect the institution" going forwards.
In their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan accused the monarchy of perpetuating lies about the couple, refusing her help when she was suicidal and claimed one member of the family made racist remarks about the potential colour of her son's skin.
Sources claim Charles remains "very hurt" by the pair's decision to do the interview, in which Harry revealed he felt "let down" by his dad, claiming he had been cut off financially and had his security detail removed.
