Married at First Sight Australia groom Liam Cooper shocked his bride Georgia Fairweather by dumping her on the spot after taking issue with her final vows.
The couple was attempting to recover from an incident at a recent dinner party where Liam told the fellow participants his family and friends would "hate her".
Georgia sought advice from her mum, who told her to "call out unacceptable behaviour" - and that's precisely what she did at the final vow ceremony.
After Liam professed his love for Georgia, telling her she was his "better half", Georgia caught him off guard by outlining the emotional damage he had caused her.
"At the dinner party, without warning, you turned on me. You humiliated me and degraded me in front of everyone. It was clear how humiliated I was, and yet you chose to abandon me that night when I needed you the most," she said.
"You gaslighted me, you manipulated the blame, and you tried to put your insecurities on to me. I know who I am and what I stand for, and I will not accept that behaviour, now or ever."
Reeling from Georgia's speech, Liam responded that his bride clearly "didn't know him," calling her words an "outright lie" before ending the relationship.
"Let's just call it quits," he said, prompting Georgia to reply "fair enough" before throwing her wedding ring on the floor.
Georgia later broke down in tears, telling producers: "Maybe I was too honest in my vows. I so wanted it to work".
