Taika Waititi and Rita Ora have been photographed kissing - not just each other, but also planting smooches on Thor: Ragnarok actress Tessa Thompson.
The handsy trio were snapped by paparazzi on the balcony of Waititi's balcony in Sydney over the weekend after what the Daily Mail described as an all-night party.
In the Mail's exclusive photos, Waititi can be seen with his arms draped around both Thomson and Ora, who at one stage lean in to share a kiss in front of the Hunt for the Wilderpeople director.
Ora and Waititi - who have reportedly been in a relationship for months - packed on the PDA as expected, but the Kiwi filmmaker also shared a kiss on the lips with Thompson at another stage of the festivities.
Thompson and Ora were also pictured gazing into each other's eyes while nose-to-nose.
The intimate photos have prompted speculation from some social media users that Ora, Thompson and Waititi could be in a polyamrous relationship.
"If you would've told me a year ago Tessa Thompson, Rita Ora, and Taika Waititi would be in a throuple I would've slapped you and called you a liar," one tweet reads.
"Is there room for another in this Rita Ora, Taika Waititi, Tessa Thompson thing? Asking for a friend (myself)," asked another.
"Rita Ora being in a poly relationship with Taika Waititi and Tessa Thompson wasn't on my 2021 bingo card but here we are," said a third.
Meanwhile, other commentators thought the "touchy feely" photos were simply a result of a boozy night and close friendship.
"Maybe they are just affectionate people showing affection to people they have affection for," one tweet reads.
"I've got friendships like this. Platonic, affectionate, sometimes flirty. Love it and them," said another.
Ora and Waititi first sparked romance rumours in April when the 'Your Song' singer shared a snap of the pair cuddled up together on Instagram. Waititi is currently filming Thor: Love and Thunder in Sydney, while Ora is there as a judge on The Voice Australia.
