Megan Thee Stallion didn't hesitate to make a generous donation to a late fan's funeral costs after friends reached out to let the rapper know they were struggling to come up with the cash.
The 'Body' hitmaker responded to a tweet that read: "Meg, we lost a hottie," referring to the name used by the rapper's fanbase to identify themselves.
"Our best friend passed away unexpectedly. They absolutely loved you, listening to your songs was something we did every time we were together," the tweet continued.
"We're helping their family with funeral costs. We started a GoFundMe and are halfway there."
The 26-year-old superstar replied: "How much do y'all need?" before making a generous donation of US$8,155 to the fundraising page for Shania Scales' funeral, helping them immediately reach their US$16,000 goal.
"I am crying so hard," Scales' friend replied to a screenshot from Megan showing her donation.
"I will ride for you until the day I die. I know our friend is up in heaven smiling so hard right now. I can't believe this. Thank you for helping us and their family. All the love in the world to you."
With their goal met, Scales' loved ones disabled the page's ability to accept more donations.
"If you knew Shaniah, you knew one of the purest hearts this world had to offer," the blurb on the donation page read.
